Default 06 F4i Wont Crank...Need Help!

I have a 2006 F4i with 4000 miles on it. I went to go for a ride earlier and it wouldnt start. It usually fires right up without question.

The fuel pump primes, engine turns over, and I can smell a little gas coming form the pipe when I turn it over. It just refuses to fire. I did some searching and found that the battery may be a problem. I check it and get atleast 12 volts and 9.5-10 while cranking. Its got almost a full tank of fuel and was just running last weekend. I have NOT tried to bump start it yet. Only mods ive done are slip on pipe, HID's, flushmount signals up front and led short stalks in the rear, and LED plate light.

This is my first bike and ive never had any problems with it so im new to trouble shooting bike problems.

Any idea what it could be? I hate to take it in to the local dealer and pay an arm and a leg for a simple fix. I have plenty of mechanical ability and do almost all work on my cars and trucks myself.

Your battery should hold closer to 12volt when cranking over. You might be able to bump start the bike since the starter won't be drawing the battery down. after that the RR should help out and take over.

You need to put the battery on a charger, see if it is just weak - but, most likely it sounds like you've got a weak or dead cell, which will require a replacement.

if you smell gas from the exhasut its running rich. Most likely the plugs are fouled, it happened to mine and when i replace them it ran perfrecly

I can smell gas only when I turn it over and its not cranking up. Would plugs be bad on a bike with such low miles?

Had my battery tested and it showed only 90% charge after being on a trickle charger all night and 0% battery health...lol

Got a new battery and installed it and everything is back to normal. Thanks for the help.
