03 600RR turn signal resistor rating?
first of all, i apparently can't run one of those "trick blinker modules" that replaces the factory relay, because on the 03 600rr, the relay is built into the gauge cluster. so i have to stick to resistors.
i'm looking to buy some resistors so my turn signals blink at the normal rate. The ones that came with my clear alternatives tail light say "10W3R9J", but i broke one, so i need another for the rear, and 2 more for the front. I'll do my own wiring and all that, so i'd rather get just plain resistors for cheap than spend a bunch of money on "blinker modules" or a "load equalizer kit", because most of those are just resistors, only nicely packaged.
Also, as far as mounting them on my bike, is it a bad idea to heat shrink or electrical tape over them for protection? Is it ok to mount them directly to the frame with one of the leads folded under to make the connection to ground? Thanks for all your input...

RE: 03 600RR turn signal resistor rating?
I have some of the resistors that came with my CA tail light as I didn't use them due to having the trick flasher relay (for the F4i and the 1000RR it is mounted between the headlights and easily accessible). If you want them, pay for shipping, and I will send them out. Not sure of the resistor ratings, nevr looked into it due to having the relay.

thanks man! i sent you an email with my address, so if you could give me a price for priority shipping and a paypal address to send the money, that would be great. please also let me know what is printed on the resistors - i will still need another, and i need that information to buy it. thanks!

RE: 03 600RR turn signal resistor rating?
picked up the resistors at tanner electronics in dallas today. $2.50 for 4, and i ended up only needing one. definitely cheaper than a $50 module. thanks for all your help guys! and for future reference, the ones i got were 10 ohm, 10 watt, and they work perfectly. and the one i had a problem with was a 3.9 ohm, 10 watt, which is why it cooked.
