01' 600f4i won't turn over!

[:@]01' 600f4i won't turn over![:@]

Bike had a bad fuel pump and gas was in the motor. Sat for a year like this, and I got it out and found this problem. REPLACED: oil,battery-yuassa, and fuel pump.

Clutch cover off, and gaers turn by hand easily.

Turn on bike, hit starter switch and it clicks.

Stator cover off, pull the center gear out (with lg. pin) from between the starter gear and fly wheel; hit starter switch and starter gaer turns fine.

Replace center gear and it won't turn over.[:@]

[:o]What is the problem???[:o]

I would try turning the engine over by hand at the pulse generator. I would also try a couple other things, check the ground to the stater motor and see what the voltage at the starter motor when you're trying to turn over the bike. If that all turns out fine, I would try turning the starter motor out of the bike. I don't know if this would be the cause but what about the starter clutch?

Pulling the gear from between the starter gear and the fly wheel, (inside the stator cover), held by a roller pin, keeps from needing to pull the starter from the bike!

Send specs on the STAR-TREK "Pulse Generator" thingy?!?!?
