The plus after some of currently active members names mean?

 

It mean you're there friend..... loosely.

Actually, the plus sign next to the username thing had me stumped a while back, too.

On the mailbox thing.... I'll take it over there. I was gonna reply earlier anyway.

On the home forum screen... where it shows the users that are online.... some of the users will show a little "+" next to their username.
Those are the people on your 'friends' list.

The mailbox thing is another thread here where JP is complaining about not having enough space in his pm box.
(I think he's faking that he's really popular...lol)
