I guess you have to be around on a regular basis, and be a contributor in a number of areas of the forum.
It's not really about the number of posts you have, but I'd guess at a number around 5000.So you only have a few left, what 4891 or so
Having the ability to act in a responsible manner and be consistent in applying the rules.
Being a team player, whose primary concern is for the wellbeing of the forum, and keeping it clear of clutter and scumbuckets goes down well too !
I guess it also helps if you send a large cheque to the Admins..............hehehe
(NOT)
Does that come with my medicare and AARP subscription or is it a seperate mailing list? LOL
No but most Mods and Admins are on medication from all the cleaning up we have to do. We self-administer for the most part, but intravenous is not unknown ......
Geez people can be messy !

Cool, and great answer! Kinda expected to hear "are you kidding? No way!" I do try to participate where I feel I can, and I need to start searching instead of starting new threads. A lot of the time iam here on my crackberry (not driving) so sereching can be time consuming and I can't upload photos (which sucks) but I do like the site and what it offers, and I would like to contribute by more than just posting. Say finding threads that are really old with little to no replies and deleting them, I hate looking @ those LoL. So seriously if I can I would like to contribute in some sort of way other then posting millions of timesn so drop me a PM mods if there's a way I could pitch in and make this site even better. I know I didn't start out all that great here and this is me trying to turn that around. Thanks in advance , ED.

ED , I think something that does get lost sometimes on forums , is the fact that it is mainly the people , the characters and varied personalities that make the place interesting as well as informative ...
Many members, tend to only post replies to existing threads and that is fine , but posting new threads in other sections of the boards including off topic especially, about personal stuff and topics of non bike related interest can and do sometimes become the biggest and most popular threads on the boards ... So I would encourage everyone not to be shy about starting new threads no matter what they are about ..
Allot of peeps are a bit afraid that a new topic they create might not get the replies and reactions that they might hope for .... but hey , you just have to remember that it is no big deal if a thread only gets a few responses .... who cares ...LOL
One place that is a big help on a board like this is the new members area..
Welcomes can be interesting depending on the new member , or they can be a bit boring , but if we make the effort like our Official Welcome Crew and some other members do , to respond to each new member and make them feel at home quickly here , the chances are way better that those new people will then become an active member on all the boards ..
Another way of contributing is to spend a small amount of time and put a "How To" together on one of the million topic areas available , which could be as simple as how to change plugs on your model CBR , too how to remove the cam sharfts , or anything in between...
You would be amazed at how many people are very in experienced at the most minor things to do with bikes ...so any "how to" could help people even if you think it is too simple a thing to bother with ...
The bottom line is , it is quite understated how a few small efforts by a large number of members can make a huge difference on any boards ...so don't be shy , or scared to throw your 2c worth up in any of the areas that I mentioned above ...
I personally think our 1000F Hurricane section is a great example of a great mix between serious stuff , personal stuff and silly fun stuff ...and you will notice reading our boards that we all try to get to know each other as much as we can ..this make's our board a very friendly place for our 1000F members to just hang out , when not too much serious CBR stuff is happening ....
Hope some of this gives you some ideas to go on with ...
BTW- all help and ANY participation is always appreciated and welcome from anyone ...
People make forums great ...not just the info ... and I have noticed you getting around on allot the boards Deadspot

I understand that, like those "pointless" threads I mentioned maybe continued later. Well again thanks for the info, and maybe someone will read this thread and crawl out of the shell they live in and inlighten us.. And I like how we have people like hershy modding the F2 section because he is an F2 goo roo that kinda thing makes this place a great sorce of info, way beyond a shop manual.
