Question about new member posting in the F4i for sale forum

I looked over the F4i classifieds forum rules and it states that members need 100 posts to be able to start a thread in the classifieds. Ive been doing some browsing and noticed that some members with as little as 11 posts have made threads in the F4i classifieds.

My question is, what do I have to do to make a thread in the classifieds being that I'm a new member, contact a moderator? I can't even access the classifieds while being signed into my account, it's says I'm restricted. I can only browse the classifieds when I'm not signed in.

Thanks for any type of help!

That is a good question..I would defiantly contact a moderator.

As a new member, you are not allowed to sell anything, anywhere. There are no exceptions to the selling rules. You need 100 posts before you can. The member that I think you're referring to is not selling, but giving things away for free. If there is actually someone with 11 posts selling, point it out and it will be removed. Sometimes they slip through the cracks.

The reason you have limited forum access is because you are still a "new member" and your account has not been taken out of moderation yet. Make some more good posts, and your account will be cleared soon.

That answers my question, thank you!

And I think you're right, the person I was referring to was giving stuff away. I just saw his post count and thought it might be possible with a moderators approval first. Thanks again!

Nope - sorry. The rules on sale issues are carved in granite. If you'd ever been ripped off by a noob, you'd understand why we're so inflexible on this. Sorry.
