Hey. man. All you should need to do is copy the full url, then hit this icon ---> https://cbrforum.com/forum/images/ki...nsertimage.gif
Then paste the url in the box and you're done. If the pic is coming from on your computer, it's probably easiest to upload it to a place like photobucket (or another free hosting site) and then just copy and paste the [IMG] code directly into the post. https://cbrforum.com/forum/attachmen...9&d=1285608231 (that picture is awesome, btw.... :D) |
Also, you're gonna want to go into your "user cp". Click on "edit options" from the left menu (under Settings & Options), then go to the very bottom of the page and change your "Message Editor Interface" to "Show Enhanced (WYSIWYG) Editor Toolbar" in the drop down menu.
Click "save" and you'll see the picture icon [https://cbrforum.com/forum/images/ki...nsertimage.gif] from now on when you go to reply. |

Another thing, bambam. If you find a pic on the net that you want to post, simply right click on it and select "view image". This will open the pic up in it's own window. Then just right click on the url (address) and copy the entire url from the address box in that new window. Then click on the https://cbrforum.com/forum/images/ki...nsertimage.gif icon here and paste the address into the box and hit "ok".
Here's one that nobody has ever seen before. :D http://www.google.com/images/logos/ps_logo2.png Practice on the gooooooogle! The URL for the google image is: http://www.google.com/images/logos/ps_logo2.png This only works if the pic is already on the internetz. (already hosted by someone). If it's a pic from your own computer, you have to use a hosting site like photobucket (it's free). Just upload the pics from your comp to your photobucket acct, copy the IMG code, and paste it directly into a forum post. (it's the code that has the [IMG] tags on both ends) Here's a screenshot of what I'm talking about. This is my photobucket acct. You can see the IMG code at the bottom of each picture that I've uploaded. http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q...5712351536.jpg If you want me to show you how to use screenshots, let me know. http://shredguitars.com/images/smilies/more/thumbs.gif <--- (or how to steal smileys from other sites? :D) |
I have a reverse question. How do you post a thumbnail?

a) Attachments (one of the additional options when you reply to a thread) but could also be: b) Pic hosting sites (like photobucket) can generate forum thumbnail code which essentially embeds a smaller version of the pic with an off-forum link to a bigger version of the pic. |
Okay thanks, I will try those out.
