anyone know of a site where i can upload a pdf to for free, as i have one for a/my forthcoming trip and want to post a link to it in road trips very soon,

Yep, I like media fire. Quite simple. I think a free acct limits you to like 200mb per upload, but other than that it's a nice, simple, free host.

thanks for the reply's lads, and currently testing dropbox,,
for the reason that i can put on an iphone ap, take a pic and add it to dropbox,and its updated on my pc in seconds.
got the file up-loaded and currently under test on my club site,,:icon_banana::icon_dance-tap::icon_headbang:
