Model Specific Troubleshooting Sections?
 

Would it be possible to make subsections for each model specific section for troubleshooting? It might help with some clutter and separate the general bike specific chat from the guys looking for specific help.

there are individual bike sections in which people ask trouble shooting questions ALL the time. Not a mod or anything just what i see.

I usually only add sub-sections if I have a section moderator over an area. Otherwise the sub-sections just get cluttered. Slowly but surely I'm getting excellent section mods set up so I hope in the near future to have all the bike specific sections covered.

Still, if you have an issue that is model specific post it up in that area. The general tech section was originally to cover generic things that are common to most bikes.

Consolidating the models section
 

I was just about to make a thread when I saw this one and it's almost about the same thing that I'm talking about so I'll just put it under here....

I recently noticed that the F4 models section says years 99-02 when F4 was only produced 99-00, and that the F4i is in the current models section when it's been out of production for coming up on 5 years. My suggestion is that when you move the F4i to past models that you merge it with the F4 section, and put a sticky at the top that cites the few differences between the 2, which parts are interchangeable and which aren't etc.. The F2/F3 and 929/954 sections should also be merged because those are basically the same bike and really didn't deserve 2 different model names. Those 3 pair are all way more alike than 1st/2nd gen 1000RR's are with 3rd gen 1000RR's(completely different), though the 1000RR's all share the same name and section... If anything were to have 2 sections, it should be the 1000RR, with 1st/2nd gen in one and 3rd gen in another, cause those are 2 totally different machines with hardly any interchangeable parts.

Basically what I'm trying to say is, the sections should be more separated by the actual physical differences of the machines, not the model names or numbers so much. F2/F3, F4/F4i and 929/954 should be 3 sections, not 6, and possibly 1000RR should be 2 sections. Anyway, that's my $.02

No offense, but we're talking bikers here. And more often than not a biker who is in a hurry cause his ride is down :D So I try to keep it as simple as possible.

And you and I both know the F4i isn't a current model ... but they don't know it. Shhhhhhhhhh :D
