Default Cbr650f paddock stand.

Hi
Am I alone in thinking this, but Honda have messed up with the Cbr650f as it doesn't have a centre stand, you would have thought they would have made provisions for paddock stand bobbins,Not so.

I read somewhere about people having trouble with paddock stands on the Cbr650f so thought I would share my solution.
It may be a bit Heath Robinson but it does the job.

Under the swing arm near the rear wheel spindle there's a 10mm hole on each side of the swing arm.
I have a paddock stand with 10mm square pegs so I got some 10mm square bar about 100mm long and welded a piece of 10mm square bar about 25mm long on the left hand one (for some reason the right hand side is 5mm higher so I put a 15mm packer on top. I then cut and welded some 8mm round bar 25mm long and 30mm long on one end, flush at the bottom so only 5mm is exposed. I rounded off the exposed end of the 8mm bar so it was like a dome on top
I have attached some pictures of what I did.
Hope this is of help.

Nice, thanks for sharing. I wonder why Honda didn't include provisions for that?

To be fair they did not on the F4i either. I had to use one with cups under the swinging arm until I bought my ABBA stand

Right, but that was 15 years ago! You'd think they would learn something by now. I know, what was I thinking .
