ATTN: all mods and admins!!!
i would just like to say that the new rules for the classified section are a little **** inspired. i am a member of 3 other msg boards and have been for years, none of which have such rediculous rules and regulations for the classified section. that being said i have about a 95% success rate of selling on those sites. before the new rules here i would say i had about a 10% success rate here, with the new rules im gonna say it will prob drop to about 5%.
first of all not being allowed to "bump" your own threads is a terrible idea. in my experience the majority of people who visit msg boards frequently only search "todays posts" or "new post". i myself dont have time to go through each individual forum on a daily basis to see what has been added nor would i expect anyone else too. that is why the "todays post" and "new post" options were created if im not mistaken. not allowing the "bump" keeps your thread from showing up in these. secondly, requiring over 100 post in categories other than "misc" and "for sale" is a little over kill. who is CBRFourm to say where people should and shouldnt post. i understand having a minimum post requirement, as many site do, but dictating what forums the post must be in is a little too extreme. lastly, requiring the location of the bike is not only unnecesarry but dangerous. posting where your sport bike is located on a public forum is pretty dumb. lurkers can see this info and im sure bike thiefs would love to have a general idea of where said item is stored. once somebody shows interest, and proves themselves an interested buyer, i will provide them with the bike location. all they need to know until then is the state the bike is located and that is cleary shown under your avatar. if that feature has been removed, put it back. now that i have said my piece i would also like to sate that i am a senior member, have the ability to post in the "for sale" forum, and have been buying and selling on forums for years. take a little advice from somebody with experience and improve your site by adhering to rules similar in nature to sites such as stuntlife.com and stuntride.com.
Sincerely,
Milt IV

Gee, appreciate the **** reference. But I'd say you have a 0% chance of selling on here anymore ...
And after reviewing the 15 threads you've created on CBRF in your time with us I find 7 were for-sale threads. So 47% of your threads related to selling something. And the only thing we have asked of you is to include price, pic and location (FYI location will show up if you enter it in the field, but not everyone does). God forbid you can only bump every two weeks. I actually got that idea from many other sites that do not allow ANY bumping. I really need to write them and let them know they are *****.
Lastly, you will notice this is the 'CBR Forum Help & Suggestion Center' not 1-800-BITCH. You would have gotten your for-sale ad approved had you PMd your displeasure (without the **** reference) ... but alas no ... not now ... not again. Go play at your other forums and use their bandwidth to sell your stuff.

Peeps is peeps ...
way to be a responsible mod. you dont like what somebody says so you block them from being allowed to sell. sounds kinda like a dictatorship to me. i didnt say you were a ****. i said your overpowering rules were **** inspired. this is america pal. everyone is allowed an opinion and also provided the freedom to express such. if you had read past the first sentence of my post you would have seen that my main objective was to give you suggestions for site improval, that by the way somebody else agreed with above. so in that aspect i would say i posted this in the appropriate place. im not sure what to think of your reference to my 47% "for sale" add post ratio. why cant i make money on this site. the part i sell help the other members of this board. the site profits from advertising and permits posting for sale adds, which in turns helps the members of the board. that doesnt require me to be a post ***** that throws in my two cent in threads i have no business being in. i wish i had a clever pic with a photoshop of the words that read " MOD FAIL".

Firstly if you only had a 10% chance of selling here, why bother in the first place.
Secondly you can bump your thread - just not every second day........
Thirdly you say you don't have the time to search for new posts ? But you have the time to place adverts on each of the forums you visit. What takes more time ?
Next - "who is CBRFourm (sic) to say where you can post ?" They're the owners................
You it seems want to be able to do as you please all the time. Nope !
Not here - we attempt to run an orderly site. If you like chaos.........there are many who don't. If that makes me a **** - so be it. There are many who won't agree.
At the end of the day - you have a choice - visit here, play by the rules...........or don't come. No one forces you either way.

i didnt put this in PMs because i wanted everyone to see it. bottom line is your right, this is your site and i can choose to be here or not. keep in mind everybody else who has seen how this has been handled has that choice as well. you wont hear from me again after this post as i am choosing to boycott this crappy site. your site sucks. your rules suck. the way this board looks visually sucks(change your stupid banner, its 2009, nobody cares about your 2006 bike of the year). your advertising sucks. most importantly, the way the mod and admin hadled this entire situation sucks. ill be elsewhere posting, selling, succeeding, profiting, and spreading the message of the poor qaulity of this site. go **** yourselves.
MMMMMMMMmmmmmmmm we thank you for your lucid and intelligent response.
If you decided to PM me I may allow my vocabulary full flow, but not on a public forum.
In the mean time, have a good time, and I hope you sell all your parts.
If you do ever decide to return, you may need Mod approval before you can insult us/me again in public.
