Default I lost a mate.........

Not a good day at all in the SB household.

Contact from a friend in Sydney, who had been tracking my mate Rob Kennedy around the globe on his 'gap year' gave me the worse news imaginable.

Rob, my mate for the last couple of decades, the irreverent, indolent, lovable rascal did not wake from his slumber. He was in Belize.

Rob was 65

Love you man............

SB

Really sorry to read this Seb. If it's of any consolation, at least he was enjoying his life travelling around instead of withering away in a hospital bed or of lonelyness. The way I think it, it's the best way to go, alas too early... once the bell tolls for each of us and there's no way of telling when so best to not worry about it too much beforehand...

To Rob.

Thanks guys.

He was a one of a kind. We used to lead grower tours together to Israel and countries beyond, and then when we sent them home, we'd take off to Jordan, Egypt etc for our own tours before heading back to reality.

He had a sense of humour so dry, you had to vacuum the dust off it!

I miss him already

As always, it's the guys with a slightly twisted of view of life, and a good sense of humor, that touch our lives and make us laugh.

That has always been something I have said to Good Lady F about people I have come across in my work:

"He makes me laugh, therefore a good bastard"

My condolences, Seb. Good friends are hard to come by in this world. I'm sure he'll be missed.

Sorry to hear your bad news Seb, from the picture he looks like he was a really fun guy.

I'm sure you'll miss him a great deal, but as Matti pointed out, at least he was doing something he enjoyed when he went.
