Default fairings

I got a blue/black 06 F4i and i need new fairings bc the person who had the bike before me dropped it and the right side fairing is all messed up and the upper cowl is cracked on the top two windscreen bolts. I was looking on ebay but I have been reading mixed reviews. I also was about to buy a set of Auctmarts fairings then I saw a post in the 1000rr forum of the bottom of the fairings melting. Then I read about Delkevic fairing are great so i looked them up and I cant find them in my color. I tried to email that place asking them if they could paint a set and got no reply. Then I found CBRfairings.com but again they dont have stock color, I just emailed them so hopefully they will be able to. Has anyone bought fairings from Cbrfairings.com? Are they somewhat close to OEM and how was fitment? If you guys have any places where you bought cud you share? I would like to order a set painted already bc I dont know anyone round here that will paint these and I really dont wana spend over $2000 for a factory set. Thanks!

Holy hell - the enter key is your friend.

This has been discussed over and over. I know Delkevic and cbrfairings have a pretty solid reputation. I think the Ebay guys are hit or miss with some being better than others.

Maybe some more ppl will chime in, but I would also suggest trying the Search function - probably get some quality threads.

Like I said I did search and Delkevic doesnt make them in my color and wont answer my emails. When I search all I find is questions like mine with answers like "I heard this guy was good" or "I heard this place is good" So im trying to find someone who actually bought from them or knows somebody that bought from there and was good.

As for the ebay item they look great but have you bought from there? What scares me about the ebay china ones is I heard that if your fairings are total crap and you send them back you dont get the money you paid for shipping which is why shipping is so much and then they also always say not in stock will take 15-25days to ship so by the time you get the fairings its been well over a month and works out good for them because you only have 30 days to report a refund. Thats what I have read atleast.

Thats incorrect ebay doesnt even let you file a claim for not receiving an item or receiving a misrepresented item until after like 20 days or something like that. I dont believe there is a maximum time limit for when you can file a report on an item and you will get ALL of your money refunded if you have a legitimate claim. Just do every transaction through ebay or paypal and make all contact with the seller through ebay and you wont have any problems getting your money back should something go awry. If you have quality concerns your best bet might be to find used oem fairings for sale. I picked up mine for $180. At those prices even if you cant find your color it might be cheaper to just buy any oem set and have them painted. It'll definately be a fraction of the cost of a new oem set and youll have nothing to worry about. Id also be more than willing to track you down a set of blue and black fairings

**** if you are going on a fairing hunt be on the look for some 2002 black and yellow ones. Left, right, upper, tail only if you can find them though.

I have red ones I was thinking of selling. There are 2 scratches though. I could take pictures if needed. I want to change my bike to black/pink but don't have the money yet. So if I sell my fairings then I can start this hunt for who on ebay is best
