Back seat latch cable
 

looking for a back seat latch cable so i can use the lock to hold the seat down, guy i bought it from was two lazy to use the key so he cut the cable and stuck it out the top by the seat. I tryed ebay and know luck there.

The seat cable lock is about $5.00 ordered from a Honda motorcycle dealer. If you live near a dealer, go there and have them order it. Online new may save you about 1.00, but shipping will make it more than what it would cost local.

Also, if your seat/undertail is still OEM, then it will be real easy putting the cable back and getting the seat to open properly, but if you have a custom or aftermarket undertray or fender eliminator, you will have to get creative.

ok cool ill call today and try to get one thanks, if i can get that then all i need is a new grab strap for the passenger seat for some reason he removed it

The grab rail is about 100.00 retail. You may find one one the F4i sale/trade forum.

After various search queries with Ebay, here is one for 30.00 + 15.00 shipped: 2004 HONDA CBRF4i REAR GRAB RAIL | eBay

If you can't find one on the sale/trade forum, try to contact a motorcycle salvage yard to see what one will go for with shipping. It is pretty much for looks unless you will be riding with passenger a lot. Also, if you find it for sale, find out if the 4 screws + the screw caps are included. If not, you'll probably have to buy those OEM.

By the way, what year is your F4i?

mine is an 03.. Grab rail, ya that's why i couldn't find it thanks, and wow I cant believe they cost that much for a small leather strap, the seat has the studs just know, nuts or washers lowes trip, will be in order..Thanks for all the help slowly but surely I get it how I want it.

wow that's not it where does that go??? on the back of the seat I am thinking..Anyways I am missing the small leather strap that bolts on the seat itself.

Your 03 doesn't have the grab rail. Also, the part number for the seat lock for the 03 is different.

Hopefully, if you've ordered it, the store got the correct part number based on your year model.

The seat lock cost about the same but is slightly different (could be the length or something). Check to see what else you might be missing.
