xmas shopping list
Seasons is winding down so i figure its time to start saving for things to do over the winter. So far this is what I got
Gotta get the stands first. My rear is a hf cheapo and I don't have a front. Battery has been run dry too many times so i figure the plugs have also gone. Fpr is prolly shot too. Starting to get the cctl rattle so may as well pull it out now. Slip on is purely for a new look. Power commander and maybe a dyno tune custom map to smooth everything out. Want some more led for some dark spots on my bike (stator cover area). And I'm getting tired of finding fingerprints on my bike so a perimeter alarm may help that
Thoughts?
- new front / rear stands
- new battery
- new plugs
- new fpr
- new cctl
- pciii usb
- new slipon (must be black)
- more leds
- new alarm with proximity sensor
- new front tire
- new air filter

Nice list, wish I had the money, but I'll have to wait until tax time to do some of the upgrades I'm in need of.
If you have a Cyclegear nearby, or possibly look online, I picked up a battery with a lifetime warranty for 130. Apparently if it ever dies or discharges you just take it back and they'll replace it.
I also have a spare K&N filter laying around if you want it. I bought a brand new while doing some basic maintenance, and low and behold, the bike already had one in it. You'll need a recharge kit though, it's filthy as hell.

Sounds like you're gonna have some fun. I really want a new slip-on, I'm sick of this damn D&D. That sum b*tch is stupid loud, but Im broke, all my money is going to school/rent, and I need tires and a new starter for my car. I like the idea of LEDs by the stator cover and what not.
My list is short, besides regular maintenance:
Clean air mod
Probably a few LEDS accents somewhere
Repack exhaust w/street packing (quite that fart blaster down a little)
New chain n sprockets

Currently have a Spy 5000m installed and the leds are linked into the alarm. I'm thinking of getting the 5000m with proximity sensor but not really using the remote start (except for bling purposes).

I didn't realize LED's were still cool in the motorcycle community, figured it died out with the cars. Anyways what I would like iisss
-New fairings
-New headlight (preferably stock I hate chrome surrounds)
-CCTL
-New brake rotors on front
-Caliper rebuild kit (pretty sure the seals aren't so good)
-Maybe a new stator cover but mine isn't scratched too bad
-Get the dents in my gas tank fixed

Thought about getting some galfer rotors for the front but honestly my brakes are pretty good as is. Might add some blue ss brake lines though.
And my leds are mostly for night visibility. Or at least that's where it all started with just 6 strips. But
after that it was "Hmm... looks a little dark around the shock" and "Hmm... need more on the rear tire".
