id trade for the 954rr in a heartbeat as long as everything is good on it. The 954 is like the f4i but on roids. Do it!

 

With the "given" of proper maintenance, both in good running trim. Yeah, I would trade. The reason is I do a LOT of 2-up riding, and the 954 has a bit more legs. Other-wise, nah, I'd keep the 600 because I'm SURE of the maintenance history of my bikes.

Well... turns out the 954RR needs the tranny rebuilt. Won't stay in 2nd gear... Guy has offered to throw in a low mileage motor (with title & reciept)... So then I would need to crack the cases and swap out the gears. Not sure if it's worth it anymore...

 

I'd trade in a heart beat man if it didn't need that work.

That 954 looks real nice and I've always liked them anyways, but sounds like their might be some gremlins lurking around there.

 

I wouldn't first being your bike is worth more second is second gear issue.. which it already has.... they sell around here for 3500 ish in mint shape with a third of miles. Whereas your f4i would fetch close to 5000.

for me...personally...not at all. and the only main reason for me personally is 40k is a lotta miles. you dont know what that bikes been put through in that 40k. how hard its been ridden. despite the fact that its a honda, its not invincible nor is it fail proof lol. you know what your bikes been through but now his. thats just me though.

 

No, because its a 954, it has 3 times the milage, and I don't buy/trade/accept used motorcycles for street use.

2. Transmission issues
3. You gotta (or pay someone to) perform swap.
4. You don't know its 40k miles history.
