Is it worth $2700

My brothers friend has an 04 F4I. It has 10,000 miles on it. It was laid down at about 25mph. It has rash on the left fairing, and on the left side of the tail fairing, neither of which are cracked. His insurance gave him $1600 to fix it, which he put a new cover on and pocketed the rest. It needs new tires and a new battery. The frame and swing arm are straight, and everything else seems to be in good condition. Is it a good buy for $2700?

Sounds like a pretty good price, i'd say look at similar bikes on CL and compare the prices. I personally think it's a good price. Take a look at it, ride it, listen to it. See if it's good.

clean title, good chain and that is an awesome price! Compared to prices here in socal, but this is a high demand area.

lol dude with that kinda miles i would put the price up really high man.. You can ALWAYS go down... why don't you start at 5000 and see what people offer you...

if you are buying...JUMP on it, if everything works right. if you are trying to sell it...raise the price, so you have some wiggle room because everyone likes to talk you down a little.

Thank you for the responses.I test drove it today. It rode straight, didn't hear anything unusual or that would worry me, rode very smooth. Brakes, chain and sprockets all seem fine, so.....I am now the newest member of the F4I club. I will post pics of it when I get a chance.

I paid that much for a track prepped F4i that had been down twice. Of course it had some extras but under 3k is pretty good for any decent F4i.
