Wires mixed with water? F4i how waterproof?
A guy on here mentioned that he wraps electrical tape around key wires because he feels that though our bikes our supposed to be "water proof" it helps to be safe. Especially the 3 yellow wires that are near the suspension he said. Has anyone had any problem with riding in the rain?? Do we really need to take any other precaustions to waterproof our bikes?
or how about hosing/cleaning off your bike?
Now the thought of rain or spraying my bike to clean it off makes me weary.
Am I over reacting anythoughts on this issue?? Thanks

should be okay, I ride in rain, and do regular washes, and havent ever have any problems......I wouldn't go spray water on my cluster or fusebox though.....

Think you're talking about my post:

Not these bikes are not waterproof, however they are waterproof'ED'
Over time things will start to fail if not properly maintained. Due to moisture, i have had 3 seperate electrical failures... all due to corrosion and moisture. All of them were an easy fix, but just a pain in the *** to troubleshoot. I'm always riding my bike in the rain, but rain isn't always the issue. The humidity in the air also will cause things corrode.
