And to think that I thought $450/yr. for two bikes was a bit much.

@ $5000+/yr. is like buying the bike over again every year (more than in my case...only paid $2,900 for mine)

Most people ask for more expecting to get offers lower than asking which is most likely in the ballpark of what they truly expected to get. That way the buyer feels like they are getting a good deal and the seller gets what he truly wanted and both parties are then happy. Who knows they may get someone dumb with more money than they know what to do with who doesn't research before they buy that overpays for the thing making the seller super happy. Find a bike you like, make a reasonable offer and you might just get it. Worse case senario is they say no and you continue looking.

Oh and also because F4i's are the sheet.

Bought 2 F4is, both '02 for $4000 and $4200 in 2008 and 2009. BlueBook put it at 4.5k. Supply and Demand will be the law of the land. I wouldn't pay over 4k today, but are there any significant add-ons...

But its not f4i's in general that are overpriced its the double seat f4i's..the banana seat f4i's i found good deals on but the single seat just isnt my style..not really sporty enough. I've been thinking about getting a 600RR because of certain deals i've been finding but whats everyones opinion on an 03-05 600RR??

Well it makes you feel better, I picked up my 02 with 11k miles back in december for 3400. Extremely clean and since it was from a shop they did oil change and made sure it was good to go. That was here in central jersey. They were originally asking 4200 though. Just keep looking and don't be afraid to haggle.

I think the real question to ask is why does everyone overprice their f3's and f4's, Imo why sell an f4i for less than 3k when f3 and f4 owners are still getting high 2k's for their bikes!
