why can't i sell my f4i?
 

I've tried and tried to sell my f4i in multiple ways with not one call. It's in such great condition and only has one SMALL scratch on a decal. It was honda certified preowned when i bought it in january and now only has 4,300 miles.. the tires are great, its garage kept, and very well taken care of. I started with trying to get $5,995 for it but now i'm only trying to get $5,000 even.

My friend with an 01 with just under ten thousand miles sold his for 4,700 his first day trying.

Any ideas of what I need to do?

What year is the bike? I seen your friends was an 01 is yours the same? If so Blue book is 3850 on it.

what year is it? For it to bring what you re asking it would need to be a 05 - 06, and then thats still a stretch for a used bike when you can get a RR for the price.

If you can't sell something it is because of one of two things - either you aren't advertising it, or the price isn't right..... Judging from your post I have a feeling that the latter is the problem.....

Bring the price down to about $4,500 & see what happens.

my bike is an 05. everyone who has ridden it loves it and says its much smoother than there personal bike.

That may be true, but doesnt mean they are willing to pay almost $6k for a 4 year old bike thats discontinued. I agree you will proly get more bites with a price around $4500.

Because you were destined to give up and donate it to me! lol

sorry can't donate it haha. i have needs for some of the money.

Try all available sources to put your bike out there, begin with Craigslist.com
I'm not suggesting you spam post but you can also post the same AD in surrounding cities, it wouldent hurt to publicize your bike a bit more.
Then take it to your local newspaper, here in my home town a 50 character ad is $120 bones that runs for 15 days.
Remember to be patient, when the patience runs is is usually when you make a hasty decision and end up under-selling your motorbike.
Start by asking $4,700 which gives you a little haggle room to bring it down to $4,500 and make em think they're getting a better deal which over-all will aid in sellin it quicker.
also try and add a helmet or jacket, things like this usually make the deal seem sweeter and could catch you a bite!:icon_wink:
