are boots worth it? are you serious???
Do you have any idea how complicated and how many bones there are in your feet? When you crash what do you think sneakers are going to do to help you? GET good gear for your feet.
There's also a brutal vid of a kid who crashed his wheels (think it was a Yami)out on the netyou don't see the accident but his friend is running over to him in the aftermath, he is on his back holding one of his legs and his foot is DANGLING by a piece of FLESH and he is screaming BLOODY murder...
I have a pair of Oxtars. They are awesome.

After switching to REAL motorcycle boots - I was sold.
Funny - companies making boots specifically for motorcycle riding (not the poser boots) know what they are doing. They offer protection and comfort you just will not get from any other foot wear.
Get boots. Break them in (Any good boot will take some time to fit/stretch to your feet). You'll be a boot evangelist soon enough.

i just ordered a pair of the black and white sidi vertigo's. can't wait to ride in em. not only are they good for protection, they look bad azz....

So I just recently bought myself a pair of riding boots. I've been riding with my regular shoes for a while now and I felt that boots would be something safer to ride in. Might I add it's hard to feel the shifter in these things so it's going to take some getting used to. Out of curiosity, are riding boots worth it? Saftey wise and everything else?
