who uses amsoil ?

I am currently running Amsoil and I'm not impressed. I get smoother shifting out of Repsol blend for cheaper. Additionally, there is something weird about the company. Every test result you see is hosted by Amsoil themselves. And anyone can become a distributer so how are you supposed to know that positive testimony is not coming from a dealer? There is just something a little shady going on.
There is no way for me to actually tell how well an oil is protecting my motor so about the only deciding factor for me is how smooth it makes shifting. Amsoil did not make my shifting any smoother than Honda GN4. I'll probably stick with Repsol from now on because it shifts oh so smooth.

I been using amsoil for a while and its great but it hurts paying $60-70 for every oil change. I'm going to switch to a different brand coming oil change and see what the difference is.

I always love a good debate with the local Amsoil rep on the true performance of Amsoil compared to Mobil 1...it's fun to get him fired up. As for me? I'm running Valvoline conventional 10-40 until I hit 2,500, then switching over to Mobil 1 10-40. Cheaper than Amsoil and I like it as much as Repsol.
