Whine

Ok Ive been riding since Sept and ive noticed my bike has a whine to it. It does it at idle and throughout RPM range is this normal?

I think it order to get a good answer your going to have to be more specific on how the whine sounds. Can you post a video of it.

A lot of bikes seam to have a whine while at idle but it is normally overcome by exhaust noice when reved. Do yo have stock exhaust? If so then it could just be that normal whine. Mine has a whine but the hindle exhaust easily covers it. Post a vid if you can.

ok ill see if I can figure it out. I have a two brothers exhaust so it drowns it out but still im just curious bout it.

Yeah mine does it too. I think its normal honestly. Mind does it at cold starts and somewhat goes away after a quick ride.

Mine does it too, but i associate it with the honda motor assembly. Not sure if it's with the crank bearings or somewhere in there, but my 03 cr250 does it too, as well as my 06 f4i. I've heard other Honda's whining like mad at idle, and it's normal. I actually like this sound as i'm partial to hondas.

my f4i does it to so does my gf 1987 vfr400 nc24 its just a trait of hondas

ok thanks guys I was just making sure nothing was wrong with my bike.

And, if anyone still has stock exhaust so they can actually hear it, it's actually louder in 2nd gear. The whine is normal and comes from the transmission gears.

my 02 whines, my understanidng is that its the high pressure fuel injection, at least thats what ive been told
