Default Whether to put a Heat Lining Shield on inside of Fairings

I just barely purchased some auctmart fairings off ebay, and know they do not come with the heat protecting shield on the inside. If I am using a carbon fiber pipe, do you think I will need to put the shield on the fairings? And if so would it just need it on the 2 lower right and left fairings? Thanks for any help.

And also, anyone know a good place to find a set of fairing screws? I have zero screws for that and need a quality place to purchase them all. Thanks again

Is your muffler can under the fairings? I don't understand what the carbon fiber has to do with midpipe heat towards the fairings?

I'm confused

Youre right GDM. Not really sure what I was getting at, I guess I was just confused as well. Pipe is at the rear where as the fairings at the middle of the bike is where it is needed. And jp, thanks I'll go check out what he has to offer.

And could someone please tell me what trim clips are for the fairing? I was looking at the manual and saw those and am not sure if I have them, or if I even need them. Thanks

Trim clips I think are the little black pieces that clip into the black 'V' under your air ducts.

As far as heat shielding goes, you should be fine just picking up some cheap stuff. YOu won't need to worry about the muffler area, however you could wrap the mid pipe with some.

It's really the headers that will melt your lower fairings. Definitely use some heat shield.
