wheelie?

Hi guys ive been practicing wheelie-ing(in a safe spot might i add) and i had i question. do warmer tires help you? or is it just the brand. or do other factors make a diff ie: type of surface.....any thoughts?

Lower air pressure in the rear deff. makes a huge difference. Go browse through the stunters section for some better info.

Are you asking about traction? Yes tires need to be warmed up to operating temps for full traction. Yes different tires have different traction. Lastly yes the road surface has a large impact on traction. As stated above air pressure also has an impact, as does suspension setup.

you doing a sit down or stand up?

I've learned my lesson trying to do wheelies or just a hard launch with cold tires. IE: expecting the front wheel to come up and the back tire slides out because it cant get traction. (with the stock Dunlops)

Solution:
get some Pilot Powers and never worry about warm-up time again lol. - but its true.

I've gotten powers, power 2ct and now power pures to slide cold. Every tire needs to warm up.

I keep both wheels on the ground, but if by chance my front one happens to come up ;) my tires are always warm, and maybe only a couple pounds below reccommended.
