Get those items powdercoated. Rattle can paint will wear off quickly, since those are pretty much your two most used items on the bike.

Rhino liner I have no experience with. Might work better. But I still vote powdercoat. The finished product is much nicer and will last longer.

My brother bought this craftsman powercoating kit from sears for about 50-60$ a few weeks ago to bling up his drz400. I made him coat all my pegs/brackets with a black and blood red combo, (as practice and since he's living with me). He has since done every single part on his bike all blacked out and the gun is still holding up well.

I was pretty suprised how well everything turned out. All you need other than the gun is a small toaster oven to bake the parts. 100x more chip resistant and durable than spray can paint. The kit really worked great. And for $60 you can coat ANYTHING that will take a charge.
I'll try to get some pics up soon.

Get them powercoated. I got my rearsets, passenger pegs and some random bolts and other parts for $50 from a local guy. Rattle can will wear off too quick.
