What is up with my exhaust?
 

Hey guys, so I just bought my f4i a few weeks ago (now just have to wait for spring).

anyways, the seller told me that he didn't have the stock passenger pegs on because the exhaust was in the way. I just thought the can was big (it is), and that was the problem. No big deal really, the bike is super clean and sounds and runs awesome.

however, looking at it, the pipe is all wrong. It bends way up and runs the slip on along the tail of the bike, instead of coming out lower. And the can is actually a two bros C.5, which is for a BMW k1200r.

it doesn't look cobbled together or anything, so I'm curious if anyone knows what's going on? Will it be cheap to get it back to stock so I can put the stock pegs back on?

Look like a high mount exhaust. You're right, that can is huge. Can't see the rest of the exhaust, but you should be able to get a lower mid pipe amd smaller can.

Ideally, you should look for an entire system that will help in run better and sound great. But first you must find one and hope it's priced decently.

yeah for now it will probably stay how it is, if I can get a smaller mid pipe for cheap I'll swap it out, but I really like how that can sounds, even if it is insanely huge lol

Its a high mount, made that way on purpose. Was a thing back in the day, not so much anymore.
