I usually start my bike and then proceed to put my gear on. By the time I get geared up its ready to go.

and my old carb'd bike starts as good in the cold as it does in the heat lol FI is nice tho.

I start it, put my gloves and helmet on, and leave. So really quick actually. But I take it easy before it warms up.

Mine is usually at 140 or so. I start it up then put my gear on and bring the bike up front, then lock the door and such. So by the time I'm ready the bike is ready to go. I feel I would still wait for 140ish just because that is what I am accustomed to now.

I wait until I have 100 on the gauge, then go easy and keep revs as low as possable [shift at 4k] until I get at least 160. Then I still give it a bit to warm up the oil. The coolant may be heated but the oil takes longer to come to temp.

Same process here bored...I see you live in Mesa...only takes us 45 sec for that 97 to start registering in the winter months and the bike starts at 105 every month otherwise!!! My problem is, I ride under 1 mile to work every morning and my temp rarley hits 160 by the time Im there. I just hate riding every morning for such a short time period and not letting the bike warm up. Every morning it gets a mini warm up which to me is not optimal. The bike runs much more smoothly and less clunky/noisey when fully warmed

Thanks everyone. sounds like were all on the same page!

I leave when I'm ready to leave, temperature doesn't really matter. Most of the time I start the bike then finish putting all my gear on and stuff, so it's usually 120+ by the time I get going. I'm always relatively nice to it until it's in normal operating temperature, but it wouldn't blow up if you were a little mean to it on cold temps (just don't do it all the time).

Started it up when it was 35 this week, idle was hanging at 3K and it was only 6am, haha. Neighbors love me. I just rode it, never wait for the idle to drop or anything, I don't have the time and my bike loves me anyways.
