Wheel speed = RPM / gear ratio (times some constant). So weight does not affect your RPM at a certain speed in a certain gear.

hmmm, my numbers seem different than most peoples. im -1 in the front with a speedohealer and in 6th gear i get 77MPH at 7700rpm. im not sure why mines a little bit higher rpms then most others....

Good point that makes a lot of sense, the gears are still gears they are all linked together and one cannot move faster than the other. I'm dumb. lol

I can't recall exactly what my RPMs are at 80, but I know that before I geared my bike, it was 62 MPH @ 5k RPM. I'm now -1/+1, so it's higher now. I need to get the speedohealer - I don't feel like guessing.

i just rode my bike last nite and i remembered this thread while i was riding. for my bike, (basically stock, unless you count the bootleg shorty pipe) i was riding 85 mph @ 7k rpms...
