Default What part do I need?

Hey guys, bike is at the shop having the thread fixed that went bad about a month ago, but the mechanic is having a hell of a time with it which is making me a nervous wreck. I was just wondering what the part would be that I'd have to buy if he can't fix the thread. I know it won't be cheap, but I won't have a choice. Thanks

First off an auto part store sells re-tap/screw-thread cleaners for sparkplugs.
If it is totally messed up, Helicoil is your answer. They make threaded inserts
that you install with a special reamer/installation tool that comes in the kit.

If your mechanic is having a lot of difficulty repairing a spark-plug thread,
I'd be a little nervous too. This should be well within the scope of a competent
mechanic.

I bought a fix a thread kit from our Honda store. Guess I'll have to go somewhere else to have the work done

I bought fix a thread. Same concept as heli coil but made for bikes. Hopefully when I call him today it's done and I can go get it
