Default went to the yamaha/suziki shop with a freind today...

And i must admit the r6 and gsxr 600 look so much better than our beloved f4I's. Anyone have any ideas why honda designed our bikes with the banana seat and the extemly huge tail sections. hell the new gsxr's come with stearing dampers from the factory. i mean love my f4I but after looking at the new r6 and gsxr's make me think ......

any thoughts

Sqids or not, they make a fine two wheeled vehicle. That is why they are in the bigs...

I think the R6 does look good, but my a$$ sure does appreciate the banana. We're not running MotoGP....comfort matters.

As for the steering dampner....maybe they have it because they NEED it!

The GSXR and R6 are hard edged track bikes, the F4i is a sport bike that is fairly comfortable. I don't mind the banana seat but the tail section is big and ugly.

could it be because the F4i isn't Honda's top 600??? duh... 600RR

you can't compare an F4i to an 06 GSX-R600 or R6, they are two different category bikes now, the F4i has been pushed back to the commuter/semi entry level 600cc sportbike (along with Suzuki's Katana, Yamaha's R6S, and Kawi's ZZR600 or whatever its called)

the F4i was the top dog in this class from 03-05 but for 06 Yamaha replaced the YZF600R with the R6S which is basically just a second gen R6, which is probably a little faster than the F4i

also, its pointless to throw on new parts to a budget bike, if somebody wanted a top of the line 600 supersport bike then there are better options

all i was trying to say is that even if the f4I is in that catagory that you descrided they still could have done a better job as far as a design factor goes...you have to admit from the gas tank on the f4I lacks appeal.....huge tail section and the huge seat ....even the duel seat F4I's the tail section is hug ecompared to the other 600's on the market

you're talking about the new f4is...the older ones don't have the banana suit and the huge tail section.

but yea, those bikes are way hot...

I have always been a fan of the R6, but every review I have read about it says that it is not a street friendly bike. They all say it is an incredible track bike, but requires a very skilled rider.

Occasionally my friend and I trade out and I ride his 04 R6. I love it, but for a distance ride the F4i is way more comfortable.

Definately not an apples to apples comparison though.

isnt it fairer to compare CBR600RR vs GSXR600 vs R6?

my friend has an K6 GSXR600 and its swings and round abouts.

we've swap bikes for the day and alot of give and takes. in the its about equal but its what you as a rider want from a bike. I love my CBR600RR but its no way perfect.

I've tried the F4i vs 600RR. I went for the more agressive RR cause I just thought that it was what I wanted.
