Went down Fri. not bad at all. Oil on groud at right turn. Sun to bright to see it. Well at least it is out of the way(first time). Especially with minimal rash on arm and cosmetic on bike. [:@]

 

Glad you are okay. What exactly is damaged on the bike? From the first post, it sounds pretty moderate.

 

Just scratches on plastics with a slight hole from skidding across 4 lanes of a oneway street. Bent brake pedal(which I was able to bend right back). Scuffs on mirror and turn signal in front. Barely scratched 2Bros. So really fortunate.

 

2 questions:

How were you able to bend back the brake pedal?
How did you get the rash on your arm?

 

put a pipe on pedal head and bent it back, it only bent about 45deg from original position. The only portion bent was right at head (foot pad). The rash on forearm was cause I didn't have my coat on. I was onthe way to work(driving a tow truck on the weekends) when I went down. I was only goin 10mph when it happened. I was all the way down(still in riding position) when my arm touched the ground. When I felt cheese grader on my arm I let go of bike and planted my left boot and was able to pop right up like sliding into second base. The only thing my wife asked when She knew I was OK was did I tear my new sweatshirt I got with company logo. I told her no as soon as it touched concrete it pushed right up for me, like gettin ready for dinner.
