RE: and we raced....
he's on a gto forum, and i believe for the S/C'd members....after putting up his timeslips for yesterday and today, he said he'd prob. be in the top ten fastest on the board. its not necessarily his daily driver, but he does drive it probably 3 or 4 times out of the week.

RE: and we raced....
Yea that 0-60 sounds a little far fetched man, thats faster then then Ariel Atom. From my understanding the new 600RR does 0-60 just a tad under 3 secs and 1/4mi of 10.6 if you launch right. On a 600 after 120-130 then car wins PERIOD. On a 1000 nothing can touch it. You need 400cc to get from 140-160/170. I know that in my friends aprilia you can reach 180+.
Its just stupid and god forbid something happened to his car your right next to him. But think of it this way, how much did you spend on your bike and how much did he spend all together? You have maybe 600$ in mods and hes got oh idk at least 10k. If you wanna race people like that just buy a 1000cc and race from a roll haha,1/4mi times between a 600 and 1000 isnt a big difference but top speed it is.

RE: and we raced....
trust me, that IS HIS 0-60 time. and like i said, it wasnt anything for bragging or some long planned thing, we were just heading down the road so we raced. its not often im on the bike and he's in the car......right next to me. i understand the "what i paid vs. what he paid and what he spent" deal. but to people who HAVE these kinds of cars to keep up w/ 600's......its pretty cool to them (and to me). thats the only reason i posted this initially. im sure guys on here w/ powerful modded cars would like to skim through this thread.

I think it's cool he got that boat to go that fast. I have a spot in my driveway earmarked for a 6.0L GTO some day. One thing you guys fail to remember is that this is the internet, and on here, everyone owns a Ferrari, pulls 6 figures a year and beat a Viper with their Civic. 'Till the videos are posted, just nod and smile at a good story, because that's all it is 'till proof is posted. Crazy **** happens- maybe that really is his 0-60 time... how do you know it's not possible?12 years ago, people thought 10's in a FWD was impossible; now they're in the 7's. I for one am enjoying this thread.

RE: and we raced....
Do you have any idea how fast a 2.5 0-60is? Do you understand that with that much power (must be a **** load if hes running 10s btw) how hard traction is to come by? Unless hes on full slicks at the track and has the transmission regeared so that first goes at least 60 then its really really hard to believe.

not sure how he'd do against my new RR as the power on that bike is much different from my F4i. i think if we did the same race as last time (roll) then i'd prob get a much bigger jump on him since the power on this RR is in the middle and up high in the rpms, not just up high like the F4i.

And for the people doubting the 2.5 0-60 time there is no way he did that on street tires but with slicks I don't see that as unbelievable. And he could never get those 0-60 times on the street. At the track you do burnouts to get your tires hot for launching and the track is usually already warm so the tires hookup great. With that much power on the street and on street tires he would have a hell of a time probably pulling mid 3's 0-60 because of traction.
The GTO is a good straight line car but they suck at road courses. WAAAAYYYYY to heavy = cooking brakes and thesuspension is way too soft so they roll like a donut. I haven't ever really been fond of those cars.
