Default Vortex slider install on 06'

Hey guys,

I've done a search on this site (and others) related to the install of these sliders and have found the laser method and the play-doh method. I need to know what size hole saw to use because one said 1 3/4 and the other said 2 inch.

Has anyone installed these on an 06' F4i that would know which size hole for sure? Pics would be helpful as I'm trying to do this tomorrow afternoon.

Thanks

it's not the two inch, but i don't thinks it's 1 and 3/4 either....crap...whichever the member suggested using the laser method works...the real issue is this...with a smaller hole, you get a more "OEM" looking finish to the install...however if you off a smidge, the fairings are hard to get back on because the hole and slider sort of fix and locate the fairing...on the other hand, you use bigger holes, it doesn't quite look as nice but you have enough play where you don't have to be "perfect"....

i went for the close fitting hole...my fairings are a bit tough to get on now, but they get on just fine and it looks fantastic...can't even tell i did it myself...

I used the Laser method and the 1 3/4" hole and my fairings fit EXACT. It looks like it came out of the factory like that. I'll try to post pics, but camera's not working right now. If you've done it already, post pics and let us know how it went.
