I think mirrored because it looks better but if replacement cost is an issue...

Why don't you aski your friends over at 1000rr.net? :P

My mirrored shield has no scratches from bugs. I like my scorpion Helmet and shield. a big +1 on the mirrored one.

Sure: I went mirrored becuase my helmet has some chrome finishes to it.

Also I found out the hard way not to clean the visor with chemicals...somehow it made black marks in the visor...So now I only use water, a friend of mine said the same thing happened to his and he was told that window cleaner eats away the mirrored part and turns it black...Mine isnt too noticeable but I am going to be buying a new visor soon.

Plain microfiber cloth will do for day to day cleaning on a mirrored shield. For bug juice, I use lens wipes for laptop screens. Or some wipes we get at the office for our safety goggles that nobody ever wears

hey thx for the responses guys...

im leaning toward mirror right now.... when i ride my bike its mostly in town and the speed limits are low so im thinking avoiding chips wouldnt be to hard...

soooooooo guess we will see haha

yeah i love that color scheme too ,they had one of these at my local honda dealer a few months back and I fell in love and everytime is see his avy makes me wish i'd would have bought ot

Mirrored for sure. I love the Mirrored Silver on my Shoei.

Plus like Kuro said - The better you can hide your face in that thing the better.

As for the scratches, I do have a few small ones on my helmet, but you can't really tell unless you really look for em. I don't think it scratches easier than any other helmet really.

i have always loved the mirrored visor. i guess it just depends on the helmet also.
