Default vibration noise between 5750-6000 rpm...

Just recently my bike (2002 F4i) has been making this rattling/vibrating noise/feeling. It seems to be coming from below the tree. Its strange, I cant always get it to happen, usually it happens in first. But today I noticed it in 4th while cruising at about 5750rpm. and it only happens in the 5750-6000 rpm range, while accelerating threw the range, not while dropping back down below. Its like a loud metallic vibrating sound.

Any ideas?
Thanks

does it sound like a nut rattling in a coke can? cause if so, thats most likely your CCTL. the stock automatic CCTL tents to go out *from what i've read and personally experienced* at 10k or very shortly after. if you get an APE manual CCTL, you'll never have to listen to that crap again, but if you replace it with an OE one, you're always gonna hear that rattle for the most part at around that 5k-6k range. mine came strong at about 5300 when it really started crapping out big time. replacing it with an APE manual part and labor *cause its a biotch to do it yourself unless you're patient and have the right tools, but there is a write-up in here* only cost me about 170 bucks and thats all you have to do to it for a while.

but from what i know, that noise doesn't necessarily entail it going bad. from what i read you always slightly hear it unless you have the APE manual.

my cam chain did rattle alot at excactly the same rpm's

Changed the stock cam chain tensioner for a APE manual tensioner and it took care of it.

I can highly rekommend it even though it was a bit of a pain to install
