Using Biketek front fork stand

I just bought a front and rear biketek stand and the rear stand is pretty straight forward... but how does the front fork stand work. I haven't actually tried to put the bike up yet, but I am just curious if the front stand is as straight forward as the rear one. I mean, where do the two knobs on the stand go? I have searched and have found nothing about this... any insight would be great.

this is what I got:

I suppose it is a little hard to explain but I'll try...

If you are aiming the stand toward the front of the bike... the first set of rubber rollers goes behind the fork while the second set (closest to you) goes under the fork. It is a little awkward at first but It'll make sense once it's up there. Hope tihs helps.

Oh, but make sure iis is on the rear stant first.

+1 What I do is place a 2X4 under the side-stand to level the bike a little more. It's somewhat nerve racking at first, and you may want to use an assistant initially, but you'll get the hang of it.

Thanks for the responses. I am gonna be putting the bike away around the end of Oct... I may try to put it on the stands before then just to see.

Biketek stands

How are your stands holding up? I was thinking about getting some for my F3.

If you're looking for a front stand I'd recommend getting one that lifts at the triple tree. That way you can work on just about anything in the front without issue. The front stand shown in the op significantly limit what you can work on. They also make it difficult to take the front wheel off in some cases. Something like this is much nicer: Vortex Front Race Stand - Street Bike - Motorcycle Superstore

You can find them quite a bit cheaper else where though.

I have those exact same stands and love em. Super light but sturdy. My bike sat in my kitchen all winter with people (girls), (hot hot girls) hoping on and off it anytime i had a "gathering". Stands never budged.

True, you cant remove your forks with them.

Got mine on ebay for about 80$ shipped.

here's a couple pics of that style front stand in use on my 86 gixxer. Ive had these T-Rex stands for 5-6 years and they have worked great the whole time.
