Upper Fairing Stay Replacement
 

My fairing stay is a little bent on my 2004 cbr600 f4i and it annoys me because sometimes I have trouble putting the fairings back on!!

Has anyone replaced their upper stay their with an aftermarket one from ebay?

The aftermarket one says its made out of aluminum but I cant find out what the OEM is made out of.

Anyone have any problems? Or should I just go with the cheaper aftermarket replacement.

the picture is a general pic, its not the one you get. You get a direct oem replacement.

I just bought one from the link you posted. I haven't mounted it yet but it seems to be good quality.

The stock upper stay is cast aluminum. It usually only bends once. Second time it breaks. I bought one off of eBay that fit perfect and was a direct replacement.

It shouldn't be too hard to mount right?

It's like 3 screws if I remember correctly. My bike is all tore apart right now waiting for a bolt kit to show up.

It's super easy. Just takes a little bit to remove everything and put it back on.
