Upgrading to bigger bike maybe?

Upgrading to bigger bike maybe?
My two riding buddies have 1000RR's and the response, handling and overall feel of the bike is so much more suited to me. Any advice from you people who have done this before or anyone else thinking of doing this. I'm 100% going with Honda if I do indeed go for it. I figure I could get top dollar right now for my current bike which isa 2002 F4i with only 3300 miles. I've seen used 1KRR's around here for 7000+...not looking for brand new.

RE: Upgrading to bigger bike maybe?
I ride my buddies 05 1krr and I like my F4i better to live with everyday. But without a doubt, the power is awesome and it does drive better. Most of the time I like the softer power delivery and easy ergos of the F4i. It seems as though riding the 600 gives me a chance to let the bike accelerate through the power curve, on the RR it is BAM and I am going way too fast to soon and I gotta slow down, almost overkill and frustrating, kinda like premature ejaculation (Now I think I shared too much).
If you like the big RR and can afford it, get it.

youve got an 02 with only 3300 miles?
ive only had my bike since oct of 06 and its got 9100...lol
personally, when i upgrade, which will probably be in a couple years, i plan on going with an 07 600RR, as the new ones are HOT...and in a couple years i can get a low mileage used one for a good price

True, so true.
Both guys I ride with have 954's and sure they're faster. In everyday riding that extra power just doesn't matter -- I'm right there with them. I don't know about you guys, but sometimes I don't trust myself on bigger bikes. Temptation kills.

RE: Upgrading to bigger bike maybe?
I just upgraded to an 02 yamaha R1 from my 2000 F4 and the power is great, but I love how comfortable it is, I dont feel weird on it at all. But be careful I almost killed myself last week. I was with a few buddies and got on it hit about 120 (not too bad) in 3rd gear and went over a small bridge and went into the worst tank slapper ever. I thought I was done for, but some how came out of it with bruises on both ankles and knees. If you do upgrade be careful, the power will get you.
