Default Upgraded to a 02 F4i. Questions

Hey guys some questions. Just upgraded from a F2 to a F4i and boy do I love it. The bike needs some attention and parts but runs flawlessly.

Oil:
10W-40 how many quarts go in 3.8?

What are the thread bolts for the sproket cover and chain cover. The guy took them off so I am trying to find some cheap one's on ebay but need to know the bolt pitch

Anything else I should really look out for these bikes? She isn't mint and it will take some time to make it pretty again but worth it in the long run.

the cct is the only really common issue for the f4i. symptom is a buzzing noise at a specific rpm (around 4 or 5k i think).

what year is it?

those bolts r the same as your faring bolts-well, for the chain gaurd, the sprocket cover is the same as like your clutch or stator cover, you can just pull one of each to get the size, sry i dunno what they r

Depending on where you live I run 20w-50 in all my bikes it's a thicker oil that protects the bike better then 10w-40 however it takes longer to heat up and run through the bike. Since I live in Texas I never have to worry about the heat part :P lol

Depends where you live though but 10w-40 will work fine anywhere.

Yep. I can hear mine already. Very faint, but it's there. Just hit 3k miles.

Thanks guy's for the replys.

2002 F4i Black and yellow. Ill get pictures up.

Ya I think I can year the cam tensor buzz once in awhile. Ill fix that coming up here. Had a F2 they all do that it seems.

Right now found out this morning that there is a lein on the title. The seller never told me this and handed the title over saying its a clean title. Looked at it and thought so as well with all the tabs and paper work in there. Finding out it wasn't his but his brothers. With this there trying to get a lein release to me. I am working with there bank as well seeing if I can get one. This is a headach already. Never once did they tell me about this which is b/s and I would assume highly illegal

Haha. I didn't purposely blow the toll. My balance was too low on the EZPass and they got me. But at 65mph, there's no blur. lol

When I was in high school I went to the local Honda Shop the first year the F4i came out and got a catalog... wow the yellow and black 01 and red and black bikes were the coolist thing I had ever seen in my life. I wanted that yellow and black bike so bad it hurt!
