Default K&N Filter

Can I gain power by adding a K&N filter? If I add the filter do I have to add the power commander?

Not gonna make a noticable difference in power and no you don't need a PCIII if you install one. I run K&N in all my vehicles.

I appreciate the help. Ihave become a little confused as to what benefits I stand to gain on my 06 F4I by adding the PC.

I have an K&N for sale if you need one!!

But to answer your question...no, not any noticable difference. I am looking to buy a PCIII and then put it on the dyno to get the most out of her as she has!

The benefit of a PC is smoother throttle response. Spendy but worth it IMO.

My buddy said that he noticed a difference when he installed it. Could have just been all in his head, or it may have just been a dirty filter. Dont know. If you have a slipon and a K+N, its probably a good idea to get it tuned.

only time you should get a PCIII is when you go over to full systems and other supporting mods...but if you can find a good deal on one...its good to smooth your throttle response...

the k&n is more of a might as well type thing...cuz the price of one isnt that different from an oem paper one, but will out last 10 oem ones...
