Two RPM Questions

Default Two RPM Questions

If your crusin', say 35-45 mph, how many rpms does everyone run at?

Also, at what RPMs do you find gives the smoothest shifting at? I'm talking in the city communting.

i think that depends on the rider, i like to keep my bike at least 6kclose to the power band incase i need to floor it or get outa someones way quick, as far as smooth shifts, that takes time and learning how to rev match.

if im just crusing then i'll proabaly let it chill at 4-5K rpms, well its always gonna be the smoothest shifts if you shift at lower rpm's.

Actually i find that it shifts smoother if you shift at higher RPM's than lower. Right around 6-7
I cruise at 35-40 in 3rd gear

or you can preload it a bit. gently apply some pressure to your shifter before you shift . It helps me get in there smooth
