Two Bro's Exhaust (spring style) - Broken Flange - Welding/Mending Advice Needed!
The inlet flange on my F4i's spring-style Two Brother's exhaust can is broken. I don't have the broken-off flange piece either to get it welded back on. I called Two Bro's, and they recommended a new inlet flange and V.A.L.E. adapter for a total of $160 + S&H, which was more than I was hoping to spend to fix my mistake!!

Does anyone have advice or warnings about this? Also, I'd like to shorten my exhaust. I figured while I'm at it, I could rotate the inlet flange 180 degrees when re-installing, so that the cracked side faces in toward the swing arm. |

Any good muffler shop should be able to weld that up for you.

well you need to remount it and see how the clearance is if you try to spin it, I would just have it welded on the pipe but do it with the bike there so it mounts up correctly.

Gotcbr and cobra, thanks for the advice! I'll post follow-up photos of the finished job.

Just curious, how the hell did you manage to brake that but have the carbon fiber undamaged??

F4i_Bob, I was replacing both tires and I supported the front forks on cinder blocks. I didnt have the bike suspended from above (haha yep "hindsight is 20/20" :icon_shrug:), so the bike tipped over and the exhaust can broke like that. Now I'm not quite as much a dumbass so I string it up like this:

an engine hoist works good too.
