RE: turbo kit?

dont think anybody makes a kit just for the F4i, u might have to get some custom work if your thinkin about going that route. It would be kinda cool to see an F4i with a turbo, but in my opinion not worth the money. Even though you may not want a bigger bike, if you add a turbo its gonna probably be faster than the bigger bike anyways, so might as well just go with the bigger bike and save your self the time, money, and maintenece that goes into turbo-ing anything.

screw that... I say do it... I could say if you want a faster civic just get a skyline instead... I'd love to see the turbo work on the F4i.. you post that its been done and I'd probably be right behind you.

Yeah i was looking for a turbo kit for my F4i before i bought it! It costs too much money for me to buy!
Check this site out Dr Turbo they make kits for all sorts of bikes, i would even think that you could work out how to make your own from looking at the pics.

RE: turbo kit?

i contacted dr.turbo by phone with some questions about the kit and they were very rude. i know they have to protect their secrets and all but it wasnt like i was asking for a copy of their turbo map or anything. I HAVE a turbo f4i with a front mounted turbo where it belongs. i dont think i like the turbo way in the back. im in the process of fine tuning it now so i will let you guys know the results soon. im using a power commander/fmu for fuel mamagement but when the microsquirt stand alone hits the market i will be sure to get my hands on one. when i fine tune this kit, it will be up for sale so if anyone would be interested in one please let me know so i will know if it is worth it to manufacture. cost should be in the $2000 range estimated.[IMG][/IMG]

RE: turbo kit?

they actually make kits for like 2500 but screw that i have 3 turbo cars and u can make a kit for way cheaper. a good turbo for are bikes is a garrett gt15 series turbo. has power in every gear to stand the bike up but its quick spooling so its great for streets and around town. a gt15 turbo is 500 bucks, aluminum pipingis 50, steel tubing for a turbo exhaust manifold will be around 25, turbo flange for the manifold is 10 dollars or you can make your own. need a power commander, boost gauge, fuel pressure regulator, silicone couplings, and prolly bigger injectors from a 929 or something bigger. you have to make your own intake manifold (the ones that come in the kit look like ass). so for about 1100 you have one sweet and fast setup. itll make over 150 to the wheels @ 9 psi and pump gas. even more on race fuel.
