I am having a problem starting my 2001 CBR600F4i. It was stored over the winter and not started at all during this time.

When I put the key in and turn the bike on, I get headlights and HUD illuminates. When I try to start the bike, I do not get much reaction from the bike. I only hear a clicking sound coming from somewhere near the battery. At the same time, the HUD indicator lights start to dim and it seems like there is a power loss (but headlights still stay on).

The battery is only about one year old and supposedly it is OK according to AutoZone. I am planning to get a second opinion on the battery. Does anyone have any suggestions for other things to look at?

sounds like you should pop that battery on a charger, if you did not have a tender or anything on it all winter and left it connected to the bike it could be dead enough to only turn on the lights but not start the bike. My 4 wheeler did the same thing, charged it up and all was good.
