Default Trip meter thingy...resetting it

My trip meter reset on my F4i is acting sort a funky...won't reset unless I really mess around with it with a key and that is only sometimes that works...

Anyone ever have this break and what to do to fix it?

What do you mean, "mess around with it with a key"? You use your key to press the buttons? Or do you have to cycle the power? If you want to reset the trip meter, the ignition has to be on, and then you should hold down the lower button until it resets.

I have heard that RRs have the problem where the button physically malfunctions, but have not heard that with the gauge cluster of the f4i.

you can resolder the switch if it doesn't work normally. it should cost only a few cents at radioshack..
