Took my first spill today.

Lowsided at about 60mph today.

Damn cold weather, pavement and tires don't mix to well.

I made it out ok. Just a bit of rash on my knee and tweaked my ankle a bit.

The bike slid about 30 feet on the pavement then hit some dirt and landed on a bush.

The damn thing fired right up, even rode it home after.

Sorry to hear this. Glad you're mostly ok. Glad the bike is still running as well.

dang man. you got lucky! glad you weren't too beat up to be able to ride it home! looks like you are going to have a winter project now as well.

The same thing happened to my bike a while back, but i just purchased it 2 days ago. The owner said it low sided and then caught and high sided. Fairings looked like crap, but it runs great, even now. They are fighters, thats for sure!

For a 60 MPH crash, that don't look too bad. It'll give you something to do for Winter :icon_wink: Glad you're OK

as long as ur safe...

Bike is easy to fix, skin and missing body parts not so much.. doesn't look too bad for the speed you dumped it but you probably want to check those forks and your sub frame good when you get it stripped. Doesn't take much to bend the front triples or forks at all when its sliding on its side...

Most everytime I've went down I was fortunate enough to be able to ride home. Glad you were too. I always look at it as the rash giving the bike character :P

Get some sliders and clean your chain up a bit ;)

yeah man your bike got off real easy for 60 MPH

Krux 12-11-2011 03:15 PM

Glad you are ok. I have pictures of my bike crash at 30mph. I picked it up and rode it home. I felt the pain for a bit but I fixed her up a couple of days later and she was good as new.
