Too cold?
So I'm living up here in WI, and it's starting to get cold(er) here. I usually ride my bike to work, and take the freeway for part of it. Today I noticed that my temp gauge was only in the mid 140s while riding. My question is, is there a temperature at which the oil is too viscous to lubricate the engine/clutch well? Thanks for the help!

no it will warm up ;) Just make sure to let the bike warm up good when first starting it when its cold.
I normally will ride down in the 40's occasionally in the 30's and never had a issue. |
I used to never take off before the bike temperature warmed up to 140.

yea i dont think anything is too cold (for the bike)
i would just make sure to let it warm up to 115 or 120 before you take off |
+1. Just let the bike warm up. Don't just start it and go. The bike will be fine, your fingers on the other hand may not be.

I rode in -14 wind chill had no problems.
