tires

RE: tires
if you're gonna install it yourself (or at least take the wheels in to the shop and not the bike), net offers good deals (e.g. www.ronayers.com). Otherwise find a shop that'll mount it for free... might be cheaper overall. I replaced both of mine with a discounted net deal, and then spent more than the discount getting them mounted at a shop

RE: tires
there aren't places like belle tire or discount for bikes, you usually have to go to a powersports dealer, and no place around me includes mounting and balancing with the purchase of a tire. I laughed this past saturday when they told me $40 on top of the cost of the tire to mount it. I had enough thin flat tools at home to do the job in about 20 minutes. It was hard to break the tire loose because it was glued on, but after that it was a piece of cake taking it off and putting it on.
Just use a long flat head, some thin tools, or even better if you have a pair of tire spoons like this:
http://www.amazon.com/Ken-Tool-Tire-.../dp/B0000AXB5P
Putting it on is a piece of cake, just put some soapy water in a spray bottle and keep it lubed so it slides on easy.
