If you aren't moving and fully crack the throttle 100%, this is normal. You have to ease it in gear with the clutch and throttle mixture. Picture your powerband.... Look how far below it you are when you do that. The bikes are torquey but they are still 600's.

there are 12300+ miles on the bike. i also noticed the hotter the bike gets the worse it gets with this problem; after riding the bike for about 30 min or so. i checked the plugs, there fine. as far as gas usage goes, i use mid grade gas from diamond shamrock. ill try another station when i get close to being empty and see if there is any diffrence. another note: lets say im in a parking lot at a full stop. i put it in first gear and let the clutch out fully. the bike will ride the gear (like a granny gear in a old jeep). so im "ridding" the gear without any throttle... then i do a 100% full throttle and the bike sounds like its flooding for a couple of seconds, then the power kicks in. if this is normal, ive never realized it b4.

i had this similiar prob when i jus purchased my bike... engine stalls when its too hot... later found out from my mechanic that its because the idling **** adjuster is adjusted too low (idling too low)... its adjusted so low... that it has exceeded the minimum point.... hope that helps...

First are you sure that you are not burning out your clutch?
